              In the production process of friction plates, the most commonly used molding method is to mold and solidify the pressed plastic under pressure and heating conditions to obtain friction plates with specified shape, density, hardness and mechanical strength. There are also few products formed under lower pressure and temperature. Each of these processes has its own characteristics. Some processes are heating and pressurizing in the same equipment at the same time, while others are heating and pressurizing in different equipment separately.
              


              Hot pressing refers to placing the pressure plastic (powder, granular, sheet, linear or cloth pressure plastic) into the mold that has been heated to a certain temperature (the commonly used temperature is 155 ± 5 ℃). After mold closing, venting and pressurization, the pressure plastic is formed and solidified in the mold, thus obtaining various pressure products, such as brake pads, clutch pads, oil drilling rig brake shoes, train composite brake shoes and other molded friction pads. For a long time, the hot pressing process has been the most widely used molding and curing process at home and abroad.
